A name or location entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The reference does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. Messages sent through a contact method may be retained to reply and are not shared outside the organization unless a legal requirement applies.
Automatic technical data and cookies
Page visits can produce technical data such as an IP address, browser and version, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring source, and timestamps. Cookies may be used to understand use of the service. Browser settings can restrict cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
How information is used
Technical and contact information may be used to operate and improve the reference, route a query to the selected partner service, understand useful pages, find technical problems, and display advertising that may be based on interests. It is not used to create or maintain official jail, court, or booking records.

Links can lead to sheriff, jail, court, corrections, federal, archive, and third-party search resources. Each destination applies its own privacy practices once selected. Advertising partners may track activity across websites on their own systems. Data may be processed by search partners, analytics providers, advertising networks, or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it. Personal information is not sold.
Security and young users
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet-connected system can promise complete security. This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may request deletion of information submitted by a minor.
Your choices and policy changes
You may ask for a copy of held contact information, request correction or deletion, or ask to limit certain processing where applicable. This notice may change as operations or legal requirements change. A revised notice takes effect when posted.
