Terrell Busted Arrests and County Intake
Terrell sits inside Kaufman County and counted 17,465 residents in the 2020 Census. Its municipal force is the Terrell Police Department. When one of its arrests leads to county custody, the jail record is where booking details live. The county Intake Division names Terrell Police among its assigned agencies, which ties a city arrest into the county booking process without making every police call a jail entry.
Inside the jail, an arresting officer writes up the arrest record. Prosecutors build on that material to draft a complaint or information. The order matters. A booking entry can exist before any court file is indexed. Want the wider picture of the county system? The Kaufman booking-record resource lays it out.
Where Terrell Busted Mugshots Appear
Terrell Police has no verified mugshot page. There's no daily arrest bulletin and no named booking log. No 24-hour or weekly release window is promised either. Go to the county system first. Keep a police report separate from a jail image, and keep both separate from a court outcome. The channels below follow record authority, not speed of results.
| Channel | What it can answer | Photo or timing limits |
|---|---|---|
| Kaufman County Jail inmate portal | Current county custody and recent activity by name, charge description, or number of days. | An official detail layout can display a photo, but the portal does not promise one for every result or publish a fixed refresh schedule. |
| Terrell Police Department | Police contact, online reporting, forms, anonymous tips, and the city open-records starting point. | No city booking-photo archive or arrest feed was verified. |
| KCSO Jail Open Records | A request for a county booking record or booking image that is not displayed on the roster. | Release may be redacted or withheld under applicable law. No photo fee or fixed delivery time is published. |
| Kaufman County Court Search | The later filed case, docket, and disposition when the court indexes it. | It is not a booking-photo source, and a first-day jail record may precede the court listing. |
| InForney, Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, Mugshots.com, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone | News context or countywide third-party listings that may mix Terrell entries with other agencies. | Unofficial, potentially stale, and not a replacement for the jail portal or court file. No city-level attribution should be assumed from a listing alone. |
The last row of third-party sites is a different animal. None of them serve as official record custodians for Kaufman County. Some show a dated item, a filter by city or agency, or an old county listing. Their windows into the data vary, and so do their collection methods. Treat them as leads, not answers.
A gap on an official portal proves nothing. A photo may still exist. A third-party image tells you nothing about current custody either, nor how a case turned out.
Note: The county portal covers its own custody and recent-activity functions only, not a full statewide, federal, or historical arrest database.
Terrell Booking Lookup
A good lookup ties three things together. You need the person, the agency, and the time of admission. When the name is common, start narrow and add detail from there. The official inmate portal gives you three ways in: a name search, a charge-description search, and a numeric-days search that opens with a five-day placeholder. The days value works well for recent activity. Just know its limits. It is not a county promise that results cover an exact 24-hour stretch, nor that they contain only new bookings.
- Open the official Kaufman County Jail portal and search the full name first. Check spelling, middle names, suffixes, and duplicate names carefully.
- If a recent arrest is the question, use the portal's days search and then open the individual detail. Compare the displayed admit date and time with the known event.
- Confirm the arresting or confining agency, local ID, charges as booked, and any bond or docket information. A charge search is a booking-description lookup, not a court ruling.
- If the record is absent, call the jail at 972-932-4337 for the custody starting point or submit a records request with the person's name, date, and any known local ID.
- When a docket number appears, use the court portal to look for the later filing and disposition. A release or vanished roster entry does not answer that question.
What does a booking detail page hold? On the official system, you may find a local ID, date of birth, and physical descriptors. The admit date and time sit alongside the unit or location. Other fields include the confining agency, the charge, offense date, docket number, bond, charging agency, and arresting agency. A photo appears when the source shows one. These fields do real work. They help you tell apart two people who share a name.
Terrell PD Records and Booking Photos
Need a Terrell police report or another city-held record? The route is the Terrell Police Department's Open Records Request link. Be specific in what you ask for. Name the incident or booking date, the person involved, the arresting agency, and the exact document you want. Request a cost estimate and a response estimate too. One caution on fees: the verified Terrell police page lists no booking-photo fee and no fixed turnaround. A fee schedule from some other city does not apply here.

The photo taken at jail intake is a different story. Terrell Police does not hold that image. County custody makes the sheriff the record holder. Route your request through the KCSO Jail Open Records page or email openrecords@kaufmanso.com. You can also reach the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office at 1900 E US-175, Kaufman, TX 75142, or call 972-932-4337. Be clear that you want the jail booking image from county custody.
Texas open-records law allows exceptions and redactions. Per the KCSO page, a redacted copy arrives within 10 working days if you accept it. Refuse the redactions, and the department can ask the Attorney General to decide. That review may run up to 45 working days from your request date. Those timelines come from the sheriff, so treat them as the county route's schedule rather than a Terrell PD promise.
No Terrell Busted Booking Feed
Don't count on a daily busted booking feed from Terrell Police. No verified mugshot page exists for the city. There's no named booking log and no set arrest window. The department's site points to records and reporting links instead. Those tools serve their own purpose, but they won't give you a person-by-person custody list. That's a common dead end worth knowing about before you start digging.
The county portal is the closest official option. Its numeric days search lets you pull recent activity. Narrow the number for a tight look, or widen it to surface more entries. Kaufman County hasn't stated how long records stay up after a release, transfer, or expunction. So save the local ID and admit timestamp from any official detail you find. A records request later may depend on them.
Other channels have real limits. KCSO Citizens Connect handles reports and citations, not booking photos. The sheriff's Facebook and Instagram pages are outreach, not a roster. There's no verified Kaufman jail app, booking text alert, or VINE service either. Need an urgent custody answer? Call the jail directly rather than waiting on a post.
Terrell Court Disposition After Booking
A jail roster and a court record answer two different questions. After a booking, the case moves into the court system. That's where the real outcomes live. The Kaufman County Courts & Public Safety page routes you to Court Search. It also lays out the county courts at law, district courts, and justice courts. Misdemeanors generally land in the County Courts at Law. Felonies get filed with the District Clerk and usually go before a grand jury. That path explains why a fresh booking often has no docket result yet.
- Booking
- The jail intake record made after an arrest. It can show a charge as booked and conditions such as bond.
- Bond
- A financial amount or release condition, if set and public. It is not a sentence or a finding of guilt.
- Disposition
- The later court outcome, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, deferred result, or another final procedural event.
Start with the docket number from the jail detail. Then line up the court case against the booking entry. Cases take many turns: reduced, amended, dismissed, no-billed, acquitted, deferred, or settled by plea. A roster disappearance tells you nothing reliable about the outcome. A news blurb doesn't either. The court result is the place to look. You'll find the courthouse at 1902 E US Highway 175 in Kaufman, or call 469-376-4100.
Note: A court disposition alone does not create a right to have a record or image removed, and procedural questions belong with the court or counsel.
Terrell Busted News and Third-Party Listings
InForney's crime section stands out as the strongest local digital news source covering Terrell, KCSO, Forney, Kaufman, multi-agency operations, arrests, warrants, court developments, and jail or release topics. Stories are dated and paginated, and new items appear often, though not on a fixed schedule. Some pieces draw on agency statements or arrest affidavits, others on court documents or interviews, so it pays to notice what a given story actually cites.
One Terrell arrest story said outright that no mugshot was available when it ran. That's a useful boundary for both news and booking-photo searches. A crime story proves an event was reported, nothing more. It can't confirm a photo was released, that someone stayed in custody, or how a case resolved. For wider county coverage, see Arrest News.
The commercial sites work differently. Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, Mugshots.com, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone all carry county-level material that may include Terrell Police entries. Arrests.org has appeared with a Terrell PD agency filter, though a countywide filter can blur together many agencies and custody settings. Treat all of them as leads, nothing more. Confirm the date, photo, charge, or agency label against the official jail detail and court record first.
Terrell ICE Detainers and Custody
An ICE detainer is an administrative request asking officials to notify ICE, sometimes with a temporary hold. It is not a Terrell criminal charge, and it isn't a county booking-photo category. The ICE detainer information page explains the federal side, while the county roster covers local jail custody only. An immigration question may call for a different official locator entirely.
A 2026 InForney report quoted the sheriff on honoring lawful detainers under an approved temporary holding arrangement. Treat that as reported news, not a verified current KCSO contract. Check it directly before relying on it as facility fact. The same divide applies to state custody: the TDCJ offender search tracks prison inmates and is no substitute for a Terrell arrest record or a Kaufman County jail detail.
